The Maturity of the Trademark

A thought that has been surfacing over and over again in my mind is the idea sparked by one of our most recent Society Girl's - Arden Wohl. She has a clear trademark with her multitude of eccentric headpieces. There is something mature about owning a trademark that travels with you through seasons of your life.

It may be one specific piece - a watch, ring, jacket, or sunglasses. It may be a specific style you embrace - a lip color, hairstyle, or fingernail polish. Whatever it is, people recognize it about you and it solidifies your iconic self.

For me, at this moment, is the sherbet painted nails and maybe my penchant for sky high heels. These Society Girls have a their own trademark, and I bet you do too..

What is your trademark?

I would say scarves. I have a lot of scarfes, big thick scarves for winter and nice light scarves for summer evenings ... I suppose it's my trademark. It would be interesting to know how you define yours ;-)

I love FF, good choice. She is also always in skirts (or dresses) and sky high heels! Mine is hats, I don't include them in all the pictures I take but most days I throw one on before I leave. Yes, your orange nails are a great signature, you also got that floaty dress, hippie style going!

Everyday for the past 2 1/2 years I've worn a huge silver ring on my right hand. Last week I had a bit of scare, I thought I lost it at an ice rink. I flipped out. It was a little dramatic, I think my boyfriend thought I was crazy. It turned out that I simply forgot to put it on that day.

white tights and hair bows! ah that sounds too sickly sweet

Hmm, can sarcasm be a trademark? I wish. And speaking of stylebytes, where the heck has she been?? Your trademark must be looking devilishly cute, always.

I guess my trademark would be lace and scarves. I'm just big ol' girly girl.

I'd have to say mine was my messy hair! I let it do its own thing!

my beret habit is a bit out of control. But they let me spend less time on my hair!

Hmmm.. I think mine is a long flowing skirt and bare feet. I'll always be a hippie, I can't help it lol.

I'd have to say mine is dark nail polish, even in the summer it only goes a little lighter, and I don't think I've had bare nails for about 2 years.

Mine would have to be big, gaudy rings (the bigger the better!) and my flaming red hair. I'm referred to as 'the redhead' quite a bit - so I suppose it's my most stand-out trademark!

I really enjoy reading your blog. You have such unique style and I always anticipate seeing your interpretation of a particular look or style. Would you consider exchanging links with me? I have only been blogging for a short time, but I'd like to build my site to be as great as yours.

Thanks for featuring me! To be honest, I actually never know what to say, when people ask me what's my signature style in an interview. Now I know, haha.

My trademark would have to be my red lips and dark hair combination. I went blonde once, and my fashion life was OVER!
