Weekend Recap: Dare to Bare

It's lighter later!

Daylight savings brings a big 'ole smile to my face. It also means I try with all my might to tuck the tights in a drawer and bust out the bare legs.... but that is a tough one.

After fighting through warm days covered in opaque black, brown and blue tights, I have thrown in the towel. It is time. Time to expose the legs (that need lotion) and release the toes (that need painting).

Once out and free you can't help but giggle with glee... Spring is officially here!

(Tribal Tunic - re-designed Estate Sale find, Bandage skirt - old skool Express, Socks - H&M, Shoes - Michael Kors)

\(V-neck Tshirt - American Apparel, Belt - thrifted, Pants - Savers thrift store, Shoes - Michael Kors)

I'm so ready for spring too! I love the tunic in the first shot. Also, I couldn't live without my AA grey tees. Aren't they the best?!

Well ladies, keep the tights and stockings. If you really want to be vintage, how about wearing garter-belts and stockings, topped off with a corset!
Here in NYC, a woman is not dressed unless she is wearing hosiery with nice heels. As a matter of fact, if you check the vintage photos from the 40's and 50's, their outfits include hosiery plus head covers(hats, scarves, berets, etc.). As a designer working for a large house and doing indie work, I see hundreds of women daily. As you know very well, New York is glam capital, and vintage is the rage. They are even selling garter belts in Walgreen's!
Just my not-so-humble professional opinion.

those pants are the perfect length! I love those for spring. I have trouble finding pants that fit me like that as I'm short legged haha
